I think so but am not sure. There are screws along the windshield on top of the dash and I believe that it has to come out. Maybe someone has done it without removing it and they will chime in...Mark

There are 6 (?) screws along the bottom of the windshield that also hold the dash to the firewall. You may be able to fold the gasket up enough to access them. I've heard that some have felt around for them and cut small notches in the gasket around the screws for ease of access in the future.

Remove the windshield or crack your dash... Your choice.. You CAN remove dad without removing windshield but your likely to crack the dash where the screws go through then your dash is lose.

Getting the windshield out is a piece of cake. Installing it ? that's where the expertise is required.

I pulled my own windshield out to have the truck painted. I cut the rubber gasket so that the insert could come out. then I cut the gasket out the rest of the way so the windshield would pop out. It wasn't difficult, although I took extra care not to damage the glass.

I had a professional install the new seal and glass back in. It was worth 5 times what I paid to have it done, as he had one hell of a time installing it, even with his 20 plus years experience.

You can get the dash out by cutting around the rubber where the screw's are but then it look's Ugly . but unless you remove the windshield there is no good way to remove Dash.
