Question Cummins Engine #??

Hey guys
I called Cummins to see how much a lift pump would be and it turns out that I need to give them my engine number. I looked in the manuel and I can't seem to read the emblem so does anybody know what the engine code/# would be on a 92??
Thanks

You can get an aftermarket stock type replacement pump from usdieselparts.com for under $40 shipped. It's made by Delphi, I had one for a while before I upgraded to the piston pump.

I found it, when you had it on your truck did it seem to work alright? I'm a person who likes putting on parts from the company who made the vehical but for 40 bucks ill look into it better then 120.
Thanks Dave

It worked fine, much better than the leaky old one. Made 7 psi at idle when I took it off.

I took Wanna's advise and purchased one. Great psi #'s, fast service, and a good pump. Chances are Delphi makes the Cummins LP anyway. Since Delphi does have thier hands in some of Cummins injector lines.

The Cummins pumps are made by Carter.

Cummings? You must mean Cummins. There is an ID tag on the timing cover, right in front of the injection pump. You want the 'serial number'. If your ID tag is missing, you'll need to use someone elses number if you want to order parts from Cummins without part numbers.
