Did a real thorough underhood clean up today in anticipation of the coming BOMB`ing this week. Had to cleanse 170k of builtup crud and grime, after i did it I took her out to get everything dried off, darned WIF lamp came on for about 10 min....whats with that? I`ve seen a couple of old posts about that, either way it went off by itself . The funny thing is I SWEAR it ran better, I figure the old gal must be happy, if she only knew whats in store
.
.
Funny thing I noticed the same thing about my truck, it always seems to run better after it has been cleaned

You probably got some water on the sensor at the bottom of the fuel filter.

I wash mine down after every oil change. When we built the house, we had a garden hose faucet tapped into the hot water heater. Set the heater at about 160F and it cleans the road crud right off.....
It's alot easier to spot a problem developing if you can notice a leak or such ASAP, and clean engines DO seem to run better....
