Been thinking about if I could make my own shorter bracket, and then make an adjustable push rod from the original Hydro unit, and one from an old brake booster?
That's th way I did my jeep. I used a flat plate. that way it is about the same liength as the vacuum booster.

HB with the RRSG that will be sweet project.

I've looked into adding the HB on my truck then I got lost when it came to the lines. RRSG old school SAE fitting, HB new school metric or what ever they're called.

Here is some food for thought... I used an early 80s Chebby booster and master on my crew cab. It uses the rod that it came with, the aluminum bracket is used to bolt the assembly to the firewall and space it so the rod length is perfect. I used the same setup on my extended cab BUT I had to run a 1998 Chevy 1 ton aluminum master with the plastic tank to clear the P-Pump, I do not have a picture of the P-Pump setup. I hope this helps somebody.

This is something I saw in a link you posted a while back. there is a high and a low pressure insert go to the bottom of the article there will be 9 pictures open the one in the center. I tried to link to it but it didn't work.

Steering Box Upgrade - Car Craft Magazine

you could also use the metric host from the pump to the HB and have a shop that does hydraulic hoses put a SAE (inverted flare) from an old hose on the box end of the hose that goes from the HB to the steering box.

Yes I did see fittings like http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ea...jerl/overview/ I still got lost. I'm more of a hand on parts kind of guy twist on twist off till I find the right fitting.

Custom hoses are a option but I like the idea of stock hoses like I got now for the RRSG. A fitting would be great to make a stock hose work.

Those are good ideas on the hoses and stuff. I think I will try and use all OEM hoses and fitting for just that. If anything goes wrong on the road then I can just get the part I need from a local parts house...not have to find a custom hose shop, or whatever, to get me on the road again.

Well my "NEW" Napa MC is leaking already..... And I already tossed the Non-Leaking, old MC. Guess the Hydro boost set-up will be going in sooner then later.

Was a little disappointing that it was leaking out the back once I got it out and could inspect it.. So I wasn't going to take it, but he was willing to sell it at core charge value. Figured I went 45 min out to his place I may as well return with something.

Nice guy, he bought a nice 90 2wd 1st Gen with the insurance settlement from his 2000. We chatted diesel trucks for a bit before I headed out.

Now to see if I can find a reseal kit for this unit, and then a "How to" on how to Re/Re it.
I got one today out the local W.Y. also got the pump out of a 99

Get home pop the hood and notice the brake lines dont fit the MC

I had not thought about the fittings on the RRSG being different, compared with the OEM steering box.

I like Justin's (over on the CF board) idea of having JIC fitting brazzed onto the hard lines. Then you just need to order a standard hyd hose.

Thanks for the links Mark.....I'll probably need those.
