broken injector line

I just found a broken injector line on my 92 dodge. I hope I did not hurt the engine at all. I may have drove about thirty miles like that before I found a problem (hearing impaired so I didn't notice the difference). Are there any after markets out there or will I have to go to dodge directly.

Get it from Cummins. That's where Dodge will get it from anyway...

Didn't hurt anything except your fuel budget.

Just curious - how in the heck does an injector line get broken?

Glad to hear that it didn't hurt my engine. I have been trying to find the part on the cummins site but I guess I will have to call in person. I can not find an actual parts listing on line.

When one of mine broke. It just split open next to the nut on the injector side of the line. It split open for about 1 inch. and it was a good size split.

it can split from not having those little claps on to they keep the lines from vibrateing to much

Mine was weakened when someone I called gave me the wrong timing order after I had replaced the injector pump and had problems getting any power. I had to put torque on it to get it to fit. knew it wasn't right so I took it to the mechanic. found out that when I first put the injector pump on I did everything right and had had the timing correct originally. The injector pump was bad and that was why I had problems. So I had the pump rebuilt and reattached. Solved my problems but I figured the line would go sooner or later.

That, or it got bent too far by a careless mechanic and failed there. You can flex them, but you better not bend 'em.
