went to charge up my A/C since I tried it and it was blowing warm, went to charge it up and it started spraying freon out right by the service port, where it sits by the turbo-intercooler connector. one, the fitting was a little loose, two, found out the line was actually split.




soooo...it's too contaminated and thin to weld, anywhere other than the dodge dealer to get a new hose? i figure it ain't going to be cheap since the piece includes the manifold for the back of the compressor and the combo hard/soft lines that run from there to the condenser and dryer. i'm reasonably sure I won't be able to find one intact at a junkyard.

 

Go to any reputable auto parts store, they can order it in for you.

We used to sell Gates products, and they are in at least that line.

 

I decided to call our dodge dealer just for kicks last night, $57 before our business discount, so I just went that route. they were a lot less expensive than I expected.
