Ive Noticed That On My Truck When Under Full Throttle It Seems Like It Takes Forever To Shift. Almost Like It Is Holding Itself In The Upper Rpm. When It Shifts It Shifts Ok No Real Slipping It Just Holds From Shifting As Early As I Think It Should. Or It Is De-fueling. Good Power Till Upper Rpm. It Feels Like The Truck Should Either Shift Or Keep Building Power And I Really Think It Should Shift. In My Signature It Shows That I Have Edm's, But They Are Not Installed. The Pump Has Been Altered But Not By Me (previous Owner). Any Ideas?

If you dont have a 3200rpm governor spring then the truck will defuel at higher rpm's, just like you are talking about. Order up a 3200 spring from Piers and it will act like a whole different truck, much nicer to drive without defueling before each shift.

Could it be your band's needing adjusting? I adjusted mine, and it increased the low end dramatically.

It's defueling. The TV cable can be adjusted to make it shift at lower RPM. One of the members of the "Lazy Left Leg Society" will have to tell you how to do that, though.

If you pop the hood and look at the throttle linkage you will see the sheath that the TV cable runs through. There is a little clip that keeps this sheath in place.

Loosen clip, move the sheath toward the firewall 1/2 inch at a time until it shifts where you want it.

If you put 3200 gov springs in it.... dont forget to re-adjust the TV cable.

Im assuming that moving it towards the firewall lowers the RPM at which it shifts? I have never adjusted mine before.

I take offense at that remark. Really I wanted a 5 speed but where I'm from there "genuine unobtanium".
