Why do you ask? Just saying that my slides didn't work at all when I got the truck; the window kept getting stuck. All I had to do was put 2 ounces of white lithium grease on each slide, and know they work just fine.

(Just thinking that maybe you don't really need new slides, just more slidey slides.)

I got mine from Acme truck parts.

They have to be long so that they support the window all the way down.

Hey Begle1.....can you fill in a bit more info for me here.....I am going to go with silicone spray lube on my window channels.....
Don't you get some "contamination" on the window glass from the lithium grease..?????
Also, as a rationalization, I've been told one or two times by body shop guys to use the silicone lube too......

Ok, just trying to learn here....

pb...

I don't know what would work best, the white lithium grease worked for me. It was plenty messy and some did smudge onto the window the first time I went down and up, but it did allow the window to go down and up, so mission accomplished, right?

I just used what I had laying around; the grease was from a catapult I had to build as a physics project... Silicon lube would probably work to, but lithium grease functions as well.

Mine slide really great.
Two years ago I got vandalized in a parking lot.....they hosed my drivers door and window with the spare qt of oil I had behind the driver's seat.
Took forever to get the oil to stop bleeding out of the channel.....
but the window slides easy now....
