Anyone know the fuel tank capacity?

Any of you guys know what the fuel capacity of a first gen is (mine's a '93)?
And anyone know how much diesel you've still got left when the "Low Fuel" light comes on?

Thanks,
CR

I don't have the stock fuel guage anymore, but if I remember right it comes on about 1/8th of a tank. It's on the Cummins Turbo Diesel cluster with the wait to start light and the ABS lights.

Well, my fuel light always comes on anywhere from 1/4 tank to 1/8 tank. But it usually flickers depending on how fast I'm going or at what incline I'm parked at...

(I figure that if the fuel light is only accurate to 1/8, then I probably shouldn't go below that...)

Every truck is different. I have 2 1992s and one takes 24 gallons when the light comes on and one takes 26 gallons, most tanks are 30 gallons as others have said.

Thanks, gentlemen. I was thinking it was a 33 gallon tank, like my 2nd gen, but the numbers weren't adding up. 30 makes more sense.

When I ran out of fuel anf filled up it took 32.3 gal... That's including the 1 gallon I got to get it started again. When my low fuel light comes on I still have 100miles left. I don't truct my gauge
