'89 IP leak

Can the 'o' ring around the throttle shaft be replaced witout removing the IP? I've searched a couple of times for a thread and got confused..... The pump works fine except for a drip that is definately coming from under the breakover spring... The spring and associated linkage is worn out and will have to be replaced.... the truck has 192,000 miles on it.

Well... after studying the "sticky" on IP re-sealing, I see what appears to be two "o" rings on the throttle shaft. I guess my next question would be... Can the top of the IP be taken off in place (still in the truck) to remove the throttle shaft (as it appears that you can) and how tricky is that??

For 20 bucks, I'll go ahead and change it out... Can I just change it out and put everything back like it was or are there other adjustments that have to made to accomondate the higher rpm?
