727 Tranny help
I had a 85 chevy diesel with a 6.2 for a while. It had a 700r4 in it and I found out that the 700 is dollars it costs to rebuild and the 4 is how many times a year I had to rebuild it. I'm betting you didn't get the torque converter onto the third stage and ate it up when you started it.

1st thing I would do is put a gauge in the line pressure port and see if it makes any pressure in drive, if you have low or no pressure then it's time to pull the tranny. The line pressure port is on the passenger side in the middle of the case angled toward the front, it's the second one back, there is another one close to the fill tube, that is front clutch port.
txs, if that is the case, then how do I check it?
I put the TC on the shaft, pushed it as far back as possible, bolted the tranny to the engine, bolted the flexplate to the TC.
The linkages are fine and adjusted right.
I hope it is not the TC.
ANyone know where to get a good converter for under $500???
