727 tranny info

I need the torque specs on the valve body bolting on the 727. there are two sizes.

I also had a temporary loss of memory on this(forgot to take pics) . there is a rod above the valve body that runs back into the tailshaft. you have to take out of the ‘rooster comb’ dentent linkage. It fits into the detent linkage in a bushing and is pretty snug. It has a groove in to inserted part, but I don’t remember any clip holding it in there????
I don’t it can pop out once the valve body is back up in place. I do have an ‘E’ clip left over in my magnetic tray that was empty when I started this project. Before you ask the ‘E’ clip I have left over is too large for the groove in the rod I mentioned. I do remember removing TWO ‘e’ clips. The one held the whole shift linkage assembly into the upper half of the valve body and that one I re-installed already.
ANYONE recall where the other ‘e’ clip goes.

I did a few searches on the open internet, but no good pics of the valve body and linkage. I’ll except links. MR. Hands overall info was very good, but no detailed pics.

I’ve done few shift kits in my day, but this is my first dive into a 727 or any mopar tranny. Thanx , crossy

ANY help appreciated, thanx again, crossy

That shaft is what works the parking pawl. It pretty-much snaps in back there in the OD section.

I'm thinking about the E-clip . . . . . .

Check the servo's and accumulator though I think it's suppose to go where the rod connects to the rooster-comb..

From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick
V body to case is 100 in lbs as above for all.
Small screws holding VB together are 35 in lbs.
E clips: 1 outside of case and holds manual valve and throttle valve together. Holds the park rod on to the manual lever. PIA to get on. 3. Two smaller e clips holding governor weights togetener. 4 One hold L/R servo together if I recall correctlly. The Park rod is held by spring detent in rear and cliped onto manual lever at VB.
