19.5 wheels
There are some 8 lug 19.5" rims that I would love myself. I saw one on a white W350 with black rims just like my truck that was awesome. You have to open up the hubs a little I heard. I think it can be done sloppy as in a grinder, lathe not necisarry. I'm sure someone that knows better will chime in.
Rickson 19.5" wheels with 245/70 R19.5 Michelin XZT on 1989 D250. Only height mod from stock was M00g 7226S springs and Daystar Coil Spring Spacers. Nothing on Rear. Check my gallery for two other pics of this rig setup with the rickson wheels.

Mr. Rickson (the guy who makes rickson wheels) was in my driveway about a year ago, He has an old beatup 5.8L f250 with the same wheels Papecat has.... he's a cool dude.
He bought some part off my dad, they got talking about the wheels/tires or whatever, he was the only one that made them at the time.
I like them

I know where I can get a set of 8 lug 19.5 steel dually wheels and I was thinging about getting them. How much stiffer do they ride. Like it can really be much worse than what I have now.

Well take your current load E tires, Add 4 more plys, 2 more load ratings and i think you'll get a pretty rough ride... plus there is not much sidewall to suck everything up (bumps, vibrations etc.) you know what i mean Bill.
Most of the 19.5 tires i've seen are load "G", Papecat would know.

it isn't any 'worse' than stock wheels and tires running at 80PSI all the way around... You can't air 19.5" tires down more that around 60-80 (refer to your tire manufacturer's chart for psi vs. load ratings).
I would have figured they were heavy heavy. Thinking that they were heavy it would take more power to turn them and stop them. At what 14/16 ply they would have to be rough or I would think especially with the lower profile side walls not having the heighth on the sidewall to assorb the shock. But guess i'm wrong.
