4wd steering box mount

I just looked at mine to find a nice big crack. My question it are there any sources on a new plate or is it a repair/ build your own deal. I have a friend with a fab shop I could maybe talk into building these a little beefier if there is a market.

Local dealer may still be able to get it. I replaced mine last summer. Fixing to do crossover steering so I'll be removing soon .

my luck they sold the last one in the world yesterday so I'll check monday.

Why do you remove the bracket when doing crossover?

Now that I think about it I'm pretty sure I've seen 4wds without them and stock steering.

The bracket gets removed because it's NOT NEEDED any longer. The gear gets moved rearwards to the 2 Wheel drive location on the frame.

Read this thread.... start to finish... you'll understand..

BTW.... I'm in need of the bracket as well. My gear is going bad, and I'm going to have to change it out. I bet the bracket is toast, so I have to find one or have it welded.

Well I'm gathering parts now for my lift and crossrover steering. Will let ya know how my bracket looks upon removal. Shouldn't be hurt. Also have a moog drag link that was installed 4th of July that will be of no use anymore. It shouldn't be hurt either. PM me if interested. Should be removed by Christmas time I hope.

Mine did the same thing. We went ahead and boxed the frame in the area of the mount. Because it did damage to the frame when it broke.

I have two "brackets" as well laying around and I am switching to the Cast iron mount/bracket with reverse rotation box like on the early 4x4s... PM me if interested.
