4wd steering box mount

Mine is cracked, I hasn't gotten worse yet but I'm not driving the tuck much either.

One of my friends has an offroad fab shop and a CNC machine. If I can convince him to build new stronger mounts that may even add a couple bolts would anyone be interested? They won't be cheap but the supply on good used ones is drying up and it doesn't seem like the stock ones hold up anyway. Also I'm not sure what the one on my truck right now came from so I don't think it's a good template so if anyone has an old one maybe even if it's cracked already that would help.

I'm surprised that no one has one of these lying around. I found them all over the place in the local boneyards, as any dodge 4x4 truck from 78-93 will suffice.

If I get to the boneyard, I'll see if I can ****** one..... otherwise I'll have to call that guy that I gave the two I had lying here on my work bench, a few months back. He owes me a breakfast......

Well I found a place to machine up a solid not stamped plate now I just need to find one for a pattern.

If anyone is willing to let me use their spare for a month or so(low price=low speed) I can pay shipping both ways and if it works well maybe get you a hookup on a CNC plate for your truck so you don't even need the stocker.

My steering box bracket was also cracked which I found out during the frame part of my restoration. it had a crack around the botton hole. It also had a crack that the PO had welded up. I took my bracket and traced its shape onto 1/4 inch plate. I made the plate approx 1/2" bigger all the way around.I drilled 1 1/2" access holes from back side of the plate to access the box bolts. then I duplicated the bolt pattern of bracket mount bolts to my plate, lined the holes up and tacked it to my 1/4" plate. then using a torch and some more 1/4" steel i completely boxed the bracket in. The crack around the bottom hole I ground out nice and big then plug welded it to the plate as well. I did that plus a ram charger brace and she should be solid hope this helps anyone with this problem.
