Well I got my 2wd auto to 4x4 5speed club cab build to a spot where I need to order a few parts for it and wait for a warm[er] day to hit the frame with a little paint....So I cleaned up the area around the motor for this project and got back on it for an hour tonight.

I got the water pump installed and located a 9 1/4 inch harmonic balancer for the motor that has the crank position sensor notches in it. I had installed a 24V valve one on it last year, but now want to use a '89-'91.0 style OEM Dodge tach I got last summer on this project. The tach needs the notches in the H.B. for it to work.

Next is to to finish up some of the fuel lines around the fuel filter and install a OEM style LP on it as the last owner installed a electric Raptor pump on it, which I find unreliable in the long run.
Even though we are getting 12- 20 inches of snow over a 36HR period right now I know this is the time of year where I have to work on the summer stuff.

Yes the shop is nicely heated - probably about 60-62F in there right now. I just do not like working in a shop full of paint fumes. I would prefer to do it on a day where I can open the shop doors and vent it out while I work without loosing too much shop heat. Or even better push it outside to paint it in the driveway like I did my RC frame. Then drag it back in to cure over night with my winch hooked to a couple of old Dana 60 U-bolts I set into my garage floor when I poured it.
I try to keep my projects fun and working while I huff paint in an enclosed space is not fun in my book.

The other major bonus is any paint over spray ends up on my gravel driveway, not all over my shop and other nice Mopar rigs.

Oh I agree, I was just double checking on the heated part.

Huffing paint is no good. But the crackheads here are now huffing wasp spray and mixing it into their cocktail drug. Guess they don't think they are dying fast enough already...

Swapped out the lift pump delete plate for a fresh Carter lift pump with the metal spacer and 2 gaskets since I am deleting the OEM fuel pre filter that would bolt under the LP on a P-pumped 12V.
I installed a new hard line up to the fuel filter housing, A fresh Fleetguard filter and gaskets where used. I installed a fuel pressure port on the out going banjo bolt from the filter hosing for diagnosis options later.

I had to plug up the watergate lines up at the turbo and the AFC housing that where un-needed now that I am running a spring waste gate design on the HX-35 off a 24V.

Finishing up the Banks Dual Ram Air intake horn is next on the list for prepping the motor before install.

The Banks Twin Ram intake horn is installed now. I need to bend the front three injection lines a tiny bit for clearance on the front [gutted] grid heater.
The powertrain is ready for install the hybrid D-250/ Ramcharger frame.

Well it has been a few years since I did much of anything on this project.
Covid and my most recent project....called Project Covid took my attention away from this build.

I have a couple of 50F or warmer days and nights before the cool weather moves in... so I am going to paint up the core support I will use will this project. I am just going to use some rattle can spray paint in a color that is close. That way it will at least look like someone cared, with the hood open at the Carlisle Mopar show.

I plan on using a diesel core support and just welding in the old style round head lights bucket where they need to be to match the '70s grille I want to use.

I would love to see the work done on the core support to see how you got the round headlight buckets in place.

If you need someone to post the pics just shoot them to me in an E-mail...

I am just planning on doing a minor rattle can on the parts of the core support that will be visible from the inside of the engine bay with a dark metallic brown for now. The main bit being the top edge of the core support where a different color up against the fenders would even make a non car person guess it was not stock diesel powered Ramcharger.
When I get it all put together with the grille test fit, I will cut out / weld in the older style headlight buckets. The core support will need another minor touch up of rattle can after that. I am planning on cutting holes and welding on brackets for a 2nd gen intercooler as well. Sounds like a good mid winter, when it gets dark at about 4 PM, project for in the heated shop.

I will send you pictures when it happens.
Thanks for the offer on posting them up!
