Hows the fitment of 235 85 16 vs the 215 85 16?

 

I run the 235/85/16 on my truck and really like them, I don't think I would go with a 215....seems too narrow.

 

215 85 16 is the OEM tire on my truck. I just saw I can get 235s for 80.00 each.. Wasnt sure about fitment or if the rear duals would rub.

 

I can't imagine running a tire shorter than 31" on the rear of our trucks. I think I'd take the chance of some rubbing under heavy loads.

FWIW, I'm not a dually fan. I'll happily un-dually a truck to run the tire size I want.

 

Didn't realize that you had a dually...no idea if the 235 would be too wide or not? My crewcab is a SRW.

 

I know I ran 235/85R16s on my '95 dually 12V.
I have found the 215 too small a diameter tire for me.

I only run 235/85/16's on all 3 of my duallies. One had 215's on it when I bought it but the higher rpms to run 70mph were a pain. I haul very heavy and never had issues with rubbing.
