1992 W250 ECM Question

I have a 1992 W250 truck with a manual transmission (truck in sig). I bought a parts truck that is a 1992 W250 with an automatic transmission.

Will an ECM (computer under the hood) from an automatic truck work in a manual truck? I don't really care too much about it throwing codes.

My understanding is it will work on a manual truck since they are both '92s.

The manual PCM in a Auto truck, though, will not work, as it will not have the info for the auto trans.

I have an auto PCM in my crewcab, with a NV4500.....works fine. It's all 93 wiring. Doesn't throw any codes that I'm aware of.

That was pretty much what I thought. The parts truck I bought has the computer and complete wiring harness in it. I was going to sell it but I think I'll hang on to it for a JIC.
Thanks for the info!
