CA was on the news here this am. Supposedly, the "socialist" regime in SF has released a bunch of crazies to the streets, and have decriminalized a significant portion of the laws regarding thefts, and break ins,

When my parents are gone we are out of here. Luckily we are farther north and the crazys are slow to migrate here. But it is happening.

Last Thursday I fought the carrier for a couple hours. no matter how I tried I couldn't get a good bite on it with any pry bar I had. And when I did It wouldn't budge.
So I gave up that idea. Friday morning I went to Tractor supply and picked up a 36"piece of 5/8-13 Allthread and made this. It took roughly five minutes to get the carrier out this time. the nut with the hooks is welded the end of the all thread.

Yeah That is in the plans for later. The way everything was sitting I didn't have much room so I went with the puller. By time I got done jacking and blocking I would have the puller done.

I got my kingpins in and ordered a couple Speedi sleeves for the grease seals in the hubs. today I will go see how many of the bearings O'really's has. First order of business next weak I mean week is to get the rusty u-joints out of the axles. So far I cut the one with the bad stub axle out with the torch.
Today I am also going to see if I can figure out the intermittent starting problems my wife's Cherokee is having.

This morning I cut the other u-joint out with the torch. then made a tool to keep the yokes from bending when I pressed out the rusted caps. All went well and I got the axles and stub (one is new) cleaned up and got the new joints pressed in.
The first two pics are an offset punch I made to remove the inside spindle bearings. I snapped my bushing puller so i made the punch. Worked great.
