The floor was in really good shape. that's the main reason for treating the little spots where the rust had started. Also the reason for going with a non absorbent insulation(Peel&Seal) and rubber mat.

Yeah I've been too busy and too broke to do much to the truck. I might get around to rebuilding the front drive shaft today tho.

Maybe it will look better when the cover is sanded to shape? The end Holes wouldn't work in the center of the plate because that is where the backer retaining bolts go. (could be some distortion in the picture too).
For some reason it looks different in the picture than in person
Check in later and see if it looks better after I square up the plate and get it all fitted up.

LOL, I don't think that will do it. It does the same thing to me, the problem is with the size of the part, you have a different bolt spacing along the length than you do the width....... Most folks just accept it as normal, but some of us super OCD types like symmetry.
The only way to fix that is to make the width taller to get the bolt spacing correct........

The truth is after so many compliments I had to see what I had to do to get some complaints.

it's mostly old truck parts that people brought because they were too good to throw away but too old to use on a newer truck.
