Hey Tim, I have been wondering where you have been. How is the truck coming along?I put your old transfer case shifter to good use.
The floor was in really good shape. that's the main reason for treating the little spots where the rust had started. Also the reason for going with a non absorbent insulation(Peel&Seal) and rubber mat.

Yeah I've been too busy and too broke to do much to the truck. I might get around to rebuilding the front drive shaft today tho.

Problem with spraying yellow paint on the floor is that it keeps on going 'til it hits the ground!

Today I spent some time working on a HVAC clean out. Nothing too exciting, Just throwing stuff at the wall to see what sticks.

Tossing sticky stuff you found in the HVAC box? That's kind of gross......

I think that is only slightly better than waiting for the Feces to hit the rotary blade.

Today something stuck. I got the hole cut and made a backing plate with 1/4-20 nuts welded to it. This it what I have so far.

I like the button head bolts...but the geometry of the holes is making my eye twitch.

Maybe it will look better when the cover is sanded to shape? The end Holes wouldn't work in the center of the plate because that is where the backer retaining bolts go. (could be some distortion in the picture too). For some reason it looks different in the picture than in person

Check in later and see if it looks better after I square up the plate and get it all fitted up.

LOL, I don't think that will do it. It does the same thing to me, the problem is with the size of the part, you have a different bolt spacing along the length than you do the width....... Most folks just accept it as normal, but some of us super OCD types like symmetry.

The only way to fix that is to make the width taller to get the bolt spacing correct........

BTW, don't do that, a coat of flat black and a wooden mallet hung where you can whack whoever looks under there will suffice.

The truth is after so many compliments I had to see what I had to do to get some complaints.

Dude..

I love your yard.

Frank and Mike Wolfe will be over in just a few minutes to pick your stuff.

I bet I could find an old Indian frame in that pile somewhere...

. it's mostly old truck parts that people brought because they were too good to throw away but too old to use on a newer truck.

Well I finished up my asymmetrical holed part today. I could use some shorter screws though.
