Brake questions

Hey Guy's I have a question can a Hydrobooster set up from an 00 be retrofitted to a 95 truck? Also if it can has anyone done this and what is involved?? These brakes have got to be the worst thing I have ever had we just got a new SuperDuty gasser truck at work and when I stepped on the brakes I almost went through the windshield!! I thought I was still driving my truck.Lol!!

You can do the swap but going to hydro from vacuum assist won't give you better brakes at all.
First thing to do is to swap your rear cylinders with bigger ones.
#37337 number good at any autoparts for about $13/ea.

Personally I think the only reason Dodge switched from vacuum to hydro assist was to avoid oil contamination problems they were having with the vacuum system that very well could have led to a very expensive recall.
I've driven both and in the stock form the brakes suck no matter what the assist method.

Changing to the bigger rear wheel cylinders is night and day. My brakes were awful when they got wet, or first thing in the morning. They would grab and squeal. After the change to the bigger cylinders that went away. And it stops on a dime. Thanks Bill.

The Napa number is 4637337, but the 37337 number should work anywhere, including Napa. These cylinders come in three grades, the cheapest ones work just fine.

I must have something really wrong with my brakes cause they still suck even after changing to the chevy parts. Looks like another reason to do the ford cummins swap

and yes I bled them properly
