I think we might be chasing the same beast...wanna give me a timing lesson or a link? Thing is mine ran perfectly until I had a shop change the timing. Someone was saying about delivery valves being put in wrong...

OK, looks like we have a Eureka! the Injector swap seems to have taken care of the high speed popping. compression tested the engine while inj were out. 390-400psi across the board. truck is not to the point where I can really bag on it on the street. So it will remain to be seen for sure, but I'm fairly confident this Dragon was slayed with injectors.

Keep us posted, I'm still chasing mine down. I'll be checking timing tonight and I need to find a delivery valve socket.


I have a set of new injectors I could toss in...I'm starting to wonder if that's what it is. You said yours was acting just like mine. Any comments?
