Cylinder Misfire HELP!!!
Cylinder Misfire HELP!!!
OK. We rebuilt a buddies engine, and we have installed it. All is good except we get a P0306 code, cylinder 6 misfire. We have not been able to solve it.
So far we have eliminated the injectors. We swapped positions, misfire did not follow the injectors.
We replaced the injector wiring harness.
We changed the fuel tubes and the fuel line.
We are still getting this code, and are at an absolute loss as to what to check next. The only thing we can think of is to check the valve clearances again.
This has been a huge albatross around our necks.

Help would be appreciated...
If this is in the wrong place and should be posted elsewhere, please let me know...

Would this help???
Would this help???
I think we've been theough pretty much that whole list. We will adjust valve lash again and if nothing it will have to go for a compression test. New engine so not even sure if we can do a proper leakdown test.
Thanks for the link. I will still take any other suggestions.

when doing compression check, check exhaust, intake and oil filler cap off, use a differential system with cyl on TDC check for blowby, u will be able to hear where it is coming from;
