Lift Pump

Hello, my truck has got 139K miles on it and still has the stock lift pump on it, been thinking of replacing it soon, I am thinking of getting the “Universal Raptor RP150”. Will this LP work on my truck and are they a good dependable pump? Thank you for any input on this.

139k is a very good run for a stocker lift pump! Congrats.

The raptors are very good pumps. I've got one on my 03 and it has worked like a champ for the last 30k miles without a hiccup at all.

Unless you are running some pretty good amount of power above stock I dont' think you'll need the RP150. The 100 supports a pretty good amount of power without a problem.

On an 03 the install is very easy and you can do it yourself if you have a little bit of of ability with some tools. I see you are in the Orlando metro, and if you get stuck I could possibly help you out a bit.

In tank pump

Hello, when I first started this thread in my first post I thought my truck had the stock fuel lift pump on it yet. Well I just got done checking under the truck and under the hood, there is no pump at all on the back side of the fuel filter housing, in fact there is no pump at all, the first owner of this truck must have had problems with the stock pump and had it changed out for a new in the tank pump. I no nothing about these in tank pumps, what type of pump am they? Are they any good? Do they seem to last? If I decide to put a smarty on this truck is that fuel pump going to work for me? Thank you for any help.

My 04.5 still has the stock in tank pump done under warranty. I run my smarty 0n level 7 pulling my fifth wheel. It pulls the fuel pressure down somewhat, but is not bad at all. These in tank pumps are pretty stout I think. I wouldn't change it till you need to, just my opinion though.
