Just curious if anybody knows of a set of rims/tires (preferably new) take offs from any year Honda Rancher ATV? I bought Jana a used 2004 Rancher last year..........runs great but the tires are getting old and one of the rims is bent, causing it to wobble some. (it has been wrecked but I knew that when I bought it) The tires all hold air but I'd like to replace the whole set with new rims/tires...preferably in chrome. Lot's of guys replace them with aftermarket wheels/tires, so if you know of some newish stock, set of takeoffs, please let me know. Thx.

Lost mine on Sunday. Slow leak....only after warmed up.... made it home with no trouble; radiator down about 3".
It's the factory water pump so can't complain too much, with it lasting 210,000 miles.
Looked it up.... about the easiest mechanical R+R on the Cummins, IMO.
I understand the 3rd Gens have lots of problems with their pumps?
Are they still mounted on front of the engine next to the belt tensioner?
Anyone else had to replace their 2 gen pump.... Charlie, Justin, Wayne?

Sorry to hear you lost the WP, RJ. But im not aware of them being more trouble prone on 3rd gens than on any other Cummins. Mine is still original, at 154K, FWIW.
It is my understanding they are very easy to replace....2 bolts.

Remove pump
Now go backwards...
I lost mine about 130k... Maybe had something to do with an air pocket and running the motor at 1500RPM for like a half an hour trying to get the thermostat to open... lol Oops, man that was a while ago... Trying to burp the thing after my head work. Lots better ways to do things now!!

Took longer to get new Belt back on than to change pump.NEw belts are a pain without an extra set of hands.
I'm not sure I could get it done on the road. Used an 18" breaker bar w/ a 3/8" adapter to work the belt tensioner.
Surprised....only 18 ft-lbs to retighten.

Did not know this till reading up, yesterday....FSM recommends not to run engine while filling.... if that's what you did?

No didn't run while filling... Was like 30* outside and filled it up and wanted to get the thermostat to open and circulate so I could top it off if need be. (Don't remember why I didn't just drive it, maybe more parts were off). flipped on exhuast brake and high idle and forgot about it for a while. came back and water pump was screaming!

Charlie, Brian, Evan, Mike, myself! two goosenecks, one Propane tank trailer, 4 truck beds full.... in a caravan at 105* on last Sunday.
Big shop (20,000 sg ft.), and knowing Mike, will be very nice place in six months!

I can't thank all you guys enough for helping last weekend - we got a lot accomplished... for me, it was the easiest day of the week!

That is going to one nice facility when you get it set up and going! A lot of concrete enclosed and a lot of concrete under cover.

Congrats on the new shop Mike! If I had known you were on the move the other weekend, I would have come out to lend a hand (or truck).
Since it seems to be a little quiet around here, let's see if we can get some discussion going. The cassette player on my stock radio died, which means no more tape adapter for my iPhone. And since you can't drive more than a couple of miles without having to change the station on an FM transmitter, I'm looking at new stereo setups for the old truck. Any recommendations from anyone? What's a good setup to go with? Not planning on going to Sat radio since I have more than enough music on the iPhone for my trips. Not even that concerned with it controlling my iPhone from the face since my phone is in a cradle at my fingertips anyway. Was thinking about upgrading speakers while I'm at it, especially since I'm not sure how the factory Infinity stuff will work with a new head unit. So let's hear your opinions if you have any!

Nothing long distance right now. Just weekly trips to Kansas City with 72 hours at home every weekend.
The no delay wipers doesn't seem to be much of an issue right now, but no radio is definitely a problem for long trips with no co-pilot.

I wouldn't go to Dallas w/o Sirius Radio...... NPR/FOX, CNN TV broadcasts/ Willie's Corner (country classics).
But to answer your question, my Kenwood works well.
Very happy with it. and still using factory speakers.

We have Sirius in Andrea's car, but even in there I find myself on only a couple of stations. I figure if I get tired of music on my iPhone, I can always use Pandora on my phone running through the truck radio.
Main thing I noticed with the stock speakers is that it seems like all my sound comes through the pillars. I can move the balance to the back, but doesn't seem like I get much output from the front or back doors.

When I put im the A-Piler gauges I unhooked those speakers.
Sound was weak, so I DID upgrade to after market 4-ways, in the doors.
