The misses is between jobs right now while on the road with me and she is taking the time to inventory all that we own, record serial numbers, and take pics of our things. all this will go on two flash drives and be sent to 2 folks I know.... Trying to get prepared for the insurance people, but hopefully never have to use them.

The insurance finally paid off on the trailer. Not near enough to replace it with something near a nice, but better than nothing. Still waiting for my home owners to make a decision on everything else. They are balking big time...............

CRAP! $3.789 for diesel was the cheapest around me this morning! I sure hope my house don't mind seeing me more than it already does.

WARNING! If you have replacement cost home owners insurance with State Farm (and probably others) read the fine print! You will find a big deductible, which I knew about, and you will also find huge depreciation's that is not guaranteed payment until you are out a lot of $$$ out of pocket. So far, nearly $6k in losses and they want to pay $408.

Well I got the new car. Its beautiful.. but I want to make the wheels black. What do you think? Powder coating or paint? Remembering that the car will be driven on some northern salted roads.

I'd vote powdercoat.

Looked at the Passats a bit last time I had the Jetta in for the free dealer maintenance... Amy has 32k on her 11 already.

I'm hoping the Tiguan TDI comes over from Europe soon... We would probably move her up pretty quick. She is about done with school so her driving will drop quite a bit. Touregs are sharp, but retarded expensive and still not great on the consumer reports...

Otherwise we may swap for another Jetta or Passat towards the end of the year, don't want to even touch the car, so warranty out at 36k kinda makes me wanna jump to another. Amazing to me how well the car holds its value. Even out of warranty with 40k the trade in value is only like 4-5k off sticker.

So far its been incredible. Only 700 miles in though... I extended the warranty to 7/100k for safe measure. I had the wheels powdered black and they came out awful so i will have to get them re worked always research your powder coater is what I learned during this deal.
