Well, The Ranch is a pitiful site. It looks kinda like a deserted hunting camp. I finally heard from the insurance company and they are giving me a decent settlement on the travel trailer. Not near enough to replace it, but better than nothing. I'm still waiting to hear about the mowers and tools. Most of my receipts left with the trailer and since I pay cash for everything, there is no trail to prove my purchases. I came up with several pictures, but will probably not even get 25% of what I lost. I do have replacement value insurance, so that will help some.

Big time theft. Very well organized and was quick and costly. Turns out that there is an organized bunch that has been hitting North Texas and southern Oklahoma. These guys knew exactly what they were doing and was probably in and out in less than an hour. They tripped all the breakers and even took the headlights out of the mower to be sure no lights came on.

Dang - that sux, Charlie!

Since our attempted robbery last year, I've made sure there's armed security here 24-7... it's the only sure method of criminal contraception.

The sheriff's deputies have told me many anecdotes about rural folks getting robbed blind by thieving dirtbags.

CR sorry to hear about those thugs, they will get what's coming to them.

I am starting to think that insurance companies are a joke after seeing what my friend is going thru with State Farm about his homes burning up at PK in April.

Yes, they kinda **** me off sometimes, but on the other hand, you can't blame them. If they just took everyone's word on what was lost or stolen, our premiums would be higher than what they are now. It's a good reminder for all of us to make sure we have all our receipts, serial numbers and pictures of everything we own.
