Well since it is APRIL FOOLS DAY I thought I would get a jump on the watercooler boys and start a traditional Skuttlebutt Thread.

and since I'm gone for a week I thought I would start alittle controversy before I leave.

Had to wake up early to go in and turn over the duty. Another nice, quiet duty day ... almost TOO QUIET . But, it will give me an excuse to go find some coffee and some fresh air. Looks to be another nice day. I actually broke out the shorts yesterday .... WOW, talk about neon white !!

I'll check in later ... consider this as me hitting the snooze alarm ... you are all authorized an extra 15 minutes of sleep, provided you can do it standing up and doing chores. Who says I'm not a nice guy.

It's been another quiet night, not even any critters showed.
Going home to bed for a few, then try to finish welding up a headache rack. Dummy me ALMOST put out the back window twice last week. Yea, load it up, it will be alright... Note to self. Quit using own truck on the work site.

Good excuse to burn some steel tho.

Getting ready for the SnF trip, making a list & checking it twice. The weather is looking OUTSTANDING! Tailwinds down! (free fuel) I'm hoping 5er Bob will give me him address & I can stay at his house while I'm in FL. Maybe he can lend me his pink speedo, and bring me a drink while sitting by his pool.

Anyone got 5er's address? I'll just drop in.

Beautiful today, wifey's talkin about killin carpenter bees (oh the joys of spring). TAX time, when they said death and taxes were the only sure thing in life they were right

You are thinking of killing bees and you are telling us to bee careful?

 

I have a technique I use every spring to kill the carpenter bees here it is called "flamethrower" No kidding I have a big propane torch that shoots a blast of flame out about 6 feet when you depress the lever.

I get them flying around the shed they love so much and blast them right out of the sky. In as little as 10 minutes I have 30 smoking litle bodies laying on the ground

Lary, that sounds like fun, hmmm, gotta get me one of those WW1 flame throwers and stand back, almost like the things the boys in ghost busters used (but dont cross the streams)

Cold, rainy, and I got to work later. Outside of that I'm peachy. Just starting on my coffee, and the girls are watching Sleeping Beauty for approx. the 100th time this week. Is it football season yet?

Well, I've managed to laze around the house all morning .... and all afternoon (now that I look at the clock ) and I have decided I need to get up and do something. So, I think I will get up and swap my laundry, grab a sammich and another beer and then come upstairs to take a breather !! This is such a hard life.

Does anyone have any experience with foreign adoptions (from Colombia) ??

Our foreign exchange student wants us to adopt her ... even called her folks and asked their permission . I told her I would check on it ... not sure where to start hehehehe. Sure is a cool kid and she would be a great addition to our already diverse family.

Hmmmm .... debating on heading to the base instead. Kinda want to go see /rent a movie or something. Boredom is smacking me right between the eyes .
