How much weight can a 06 ram 2500 heavy duty quad cab with 8' bed haul?
Legally and capability wise. I have a gooseneck in it and have a 28' GN rated for 22,500.

If your truck is a 2500.......the gvwr is 9000lbs. That is the weight, including pin weight, of the cargo capacity of your truck (if you are trying to stay within Dodge's ratings).

The GCVWR (weight of Truck and Trailer and cargo of both) is 21,000lbs with 3.73 gears and 23,000 with 4.10s.......according to Dodge.

We all know the trucks can haul much more than that. As long as you are within the tires ratings you will probably be fine.

Just stay with ratings on your tires, and your axle ratings, The axle ratings can be found on the door sticker. My 96 2500 , I have crossed many scales and never had a problem, I have weighed in as much as 6200 pounds on the back axle of the truck and not a problem, total weight of the truck was 10,400 pounds, and with trailer it was just pounds under 20,000. just remember you break that 26,000 pound mark total weight and a CDL is required. My 2500 is legally licenced for 20,000 pounds total weight.

That is going to be determined by his state regs and whether he is commercial or not.

Well, again, it'll depend on his home states regs. He may have a provision, like I do in my state, that I can be exempt if I'm hauling personal items. I can scale out at 32K GCW and as long as I'm under axle weight ratings I don't need any level of a CDL.

weight on truck

1ST no need to worry about cdl, I have a class A. I know A lot about BIG TRUCKS, 80K plus. These pick up trucks are small for me and the info seems to be less openly out there for them.

I read through my manual and looked on my door and some of the info seemed abiguous. According to the manual it calculated out pretty light.

I registered my 2500 for 9500 lbs. and my trailer for 22500 lbs. So the total registered gross wt is 32,000.

The door say 5200 on front and 6000 on rear. GVWR is 9000 too. SO ????

How much wt can my drive axle on my truck weigh and be legal and how much can it take?

Can I actually register my truck for 11200 gross and put 5200/6000 on the axles. Have a total wt of 33700?

What do you think!

you need to take your truck and scale it to see exactly what it weighs on the front and rear. with this you can then find out what you can put on the rear.
