Trails West Gooseneck

I bought a 2001 Trails West Classic SE Gooseneck 4H w/the big tack/dressing room this weekend and I have a couple of questions. The Trailer is in excellent condition it just has a little cosmetic damage like missing lights and some small dings but overall is in good shape.

The aluminum/rubber body moulding has some chunks out of the rubber insert and I was wondering if anyone knew where I could buy the rubber to replace the damaged sections.

Eventually I want to change the lights over to L.E.D. are there any mfg's that are better than others?

I also want to hurculine the entire underside of the neck and about 24" up the exterior walls all the way around. Has anyone done this and how has it held up?

Thanks
Dave

Here is the trailer hooked to my bro's 2001 Cummins (Ironhide)

Trails West trailers are built 130 miles south of you in Preston, Id. You might contact them about the moulding. They are using leds now, so they might cut you a deal on those too.

I called Trails West about the moulding and they said they did not know where to purchase it in rolls less than several hundred feet. They also said that they could not sell it to me because they have no way of pricing it. I didn't even think to ask about lights.

That's too bad. I thought they would have better customer service than that. Sportland Inc in Lolo, Mt sells Trails West. 406-273-6561 You might give them a try.

Hurculiner

Does anyone have any experience with the Hurculiner on a horse trailer?

Body Trim

GAmes thanks for the responses. Trails West emailed me a place that I could get the trim. If anyone else needs this type of trim for their trailer it can be found here: http://www.redneck-trailer.com

I'd just remove the moulding if it botherd you and go to an auto parts store and buy new stuff. Matching something as hard as a horse trail would be a PITA.
IMO herculiner sucks. I have on a lot of stuff that I don't care around, IE off road toys.

I found the trim piece I was looking for at the above mentioned site, best part is there is a store in Caldwel, ID and it is pretty reasonably priced.

What are the down falls to the Herculiner? Does it not hold up real well?

Herculiner

Well I went ahead and did the Hurculiner. It took about a gallon and a half to get the thickness I wanted and I think it turned out very well, I'll just have to wait and see how it holds up.

It took my brother and I about 3 hours to prep it and get rid of what little rust was.

First Coat.

And Finished Product

We're headed up to bring cows off the range this weekend so I'll get to see how it holds up to the dirt road and rock chips.
