Towing ?

I don't yet have any extra gauges on my 2005 2500. I'm going to pull a 29' travel trailer weighing 10,000 Ibs and was wondering if I need to worry about anything? Or should I just hook it up and have fun?

Jeff

Wouldn't think twice about it. I pull allot more than that and have never had any problems.

You are definately good to go, but make sure you cool down before you shut it off. And, I wouldn't try to win any races going up steep hills since you can't see your EGTs.

Thanks for the quick replies. I had a stereo shop install a backup camera that is incorporated into the license plate cover and it is outstanding!

I'm going to be pulling this trailer from Phoenix (115 Deg) up into the mountains. Since I can't see my turbos, how hard should I pull up these steep hills? How long should I let the truck idle before I shut it down so that the turbo will be cooled?

Thanks in advance!

no problem at all running without guages as long as your stock these trucks are made to pull safetly at factory levels . the cooldown dosnt have to be that long either by the time you slow to your stop and with a load you'll be coasting for a while, find a spot to park, put the truck in neutral, undo your seatbelt, you can just shut the truck down with no prob.
