04.5 3500 towing realistic towing capacity
Questions for you folks that know. I have a 04.5 3500 single rear wheel. i'm moving to orlando in 3 weeks. my plan is to put my 350lbs motorcycle in the bed and hook up a uhaul car trailer (about 2000 lbs-im guessing) and tow my volvo (4580 lbs). i have an upgraded tranny built by timinva. i've never towed this much that long. is it possible to do with my setup. i do have an electronic brake controller. any advice is appreciated.

Don't sweat it. Your truck will tow that with ease in every way. That is what your truck was built for.
I routinely haul an ATV in the bed of my truck....tow my toyhauler with 3 more inside......and 120 gallons of water, 28 gallons of fuel etc. (11,000+lbs.)
Take off on your trip with no worries and don't look back.

I pulled with my truck with its bed loaded down and a fully loaded U-Haul 12' enclosed trailer some 1000 miles.......truck didn't even know it was there. I could pass with ease. Just make sure U-Haul hooks you up right (lights and all.) Took me hours to straighten out their mess.
