Trading in the Northern Lite.

I just got back from bringing my 9.6 Northern Lite camper in for trade in on a new 90W Okanogan with the WORKS. It won't be shiped 'till middle of September but I can't wait! I'll need to shake it out for a few trips before hunting seaason, but it will be SOOOOO nice to get rid of the Northern Lite.

I just bought a Northern Lite yesterday. I had a Fleetwood. I sure like the NL. I am getting ready to take it out. But because I have a 2nd Gen early production the tail gate opening was 58.5 inches had to cut out the rear of the box to get the camper in.

Keep a close eye on your roof for soft spots.

Oh now I don't feel so good. Could you enlighten me on this problem?

My roof was "spongy" after only one season. It had delaminated over most of the roof, & parts of the rear. It also began to crack at the base where the box meets the bumpstops. & around the lower forward corners where the camper flares out behind the tail lights. NL took it back to Canada for 3 months, & did extensive repairs. Only one year later the roof is doing the same thing. I'll never own a NL again.

That is too bad. Maybe they should have gave you a replacement. Man all the info I read was that these are one of the better campers. I hope I don't have that problem.
Heres to your new Okanagan and many trouble free trips.

Thanks. I suppose that I got the bad one in the lot.Everything I could find told me they were a good camper too.The biggest thing for me to decide for the Okanogan was the 5yr warranty. Good luck with your new NL.
