Towed w/6.7-auto(Opinions from within!)

I traded my '06 2500 4x auto for an '08 3500 4x DRW auto. I was a bit reluctant to get another auto. Well, this thing pulls like a dream!! It was almost like the tranny was reading my mind as far as what gear it was selecting. Also, the +/- gear selector is very nice. Just wanted to let ya'll know my experience!

Same here. I just drove 1700 miles pulling a travel trailer and my truck did great. There was level ground, 6% grades, and the infamous " Grapevine " here in California. I couldnt be happier. Also loved my exhaust brake!

The exhaust brake was awesome! A huge bonus.

I was thinking I might go that route when the 2010's come out...

Did you get the 3.73's or the 4.10's?

3.73. I wanted to wait for the 2010 but I'm kinda paranoid about buying the first year any vehicle is made. That 2010 does look REEEAAAL nice, though! @ 65mph my RPM's are about 1600. @ 70 about 1750RPM's which is down about 300 from my 48RE & 3.73's & these tires are smaller than what I had on the '06!

I test drove a 68rfe with 4.10's once. It turned lower RPM at 65 than the truck I had at the time that had 3.73 and NV5600 stick.

I think a lot of people get 4.10's without really needing it, but with that sweet double overdrive and my tendency to tow a lot I think that would be my choice.

Anyway, cool that you are happy with the truck.

I know my buddies 09 stock pulls better then my truck with his 37' 5th wheel too my 22' T-Hauler. It's amazing that tranny make that big of difference. I've got more power but he's getting better delivery. But I'm getting better mpgs.
