How can I place pictures within my posts? I see the IMG button but is that just pointing to a link and I have to post the pictures within my profile?

 

You can post any .jpg file. It doesnt matter where the picture is. It can either be in your profile or on another site as long as you have the full URL path to that picture.

Yep, as long as the site that has the picture allows you to link to that picture from this site.
Some sites dont allow you to link to their picutre(s).

You can also use the "Attach file" option at the bottom to attach an image from your hard drive. However, this process is subject to size limitations.
Best bet for a large photo is to add that photo to your gallary and then link the image from your gallary to your post.

I don't see an attach file with the reply - just with new posts. I'll try to post one within this thread

 

OK I'm not looking hard enough . I can add images to the reply - just not the quick reply. Guess that's why I'm still a Jr. Member.



But it seems I still get the big "X" when I try to insert a picture from my profile on DTR. When I place the link - the link works to the picture though.

 

Taking a look at your post, you used the [ I M G ] button to post a link to a page, not an image.

You would need to use the following if you wanted to post just the image:

[ I M G ]https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/pics/data/500/26357Harley-rt-side-med.JPG[ / I M G ]

Just dont use the spaces in [ I M G ]
