SWR/10000ib camper?

What do you think,I got a old 5TH 10000lb (on title)camper and was thinking if my truck will be ok or not.I know my tires can handle the weight.

I won't be useing it a lot only about 2 times a year and not very far.

so lets here the good and the bad(hope more good then bad )

I use to pull 25000-30000 (trailer +load) on my 2000 short box all the time about 15,000 miles a year with no problum. You will be just fine

With my sig I pull a 10m lb plus all over without a problem. Been out West a couple times. I'd suggest full set of gauges including Trans Temp.

Rrloren, is your trans all rebuilt or just what your sig says.I was going to put a tc in now till i get more $ for a DTT trans

don't worry about the wieght, I've had close to 26,000lbs. (trailor included) behind my truck and it didn't cause any problems.

Invest in some airbags that will bring your truck to level when loaded down and save your suspension, also when you hit a dip in the road you won't bounce for 300 yards!

Trans was rebuilt with kevlar clutches and transco shift kit, topped it off with the GB triple disc.
