Haha.

2005 Dodge. 7,500 - 8,000Lbs
54' Trailer 7,500 Lbs
Truck on trailer 10,000Lbs (with pop-up
Traler on trailer, 2,500 Lbs.

----------

It towed allright. The trailer axle placement makes for a low tongue wiehgt, but a little hair rising on the Texas highway "swoops"

The Ford was broke down here in Laredo with a blown motor (lots of goodies). He was towing at 90MPH and now has tons of blow-by, a miss, and smoke out the exhaust, with on awesome oil leak.

----------

Couldn't travel over 55MPH because the front pass. side trailer tires would really start to heat up. The owner of teh Ford is going to be sending me a few high-res pictures when he gets back home.

What else would you like to know ?

Merrick

ANy guess on the length? 54' trailer, with 8' hanging off the rear of the trailer.
4-door long bed, 54' trailer, plus 8' more hanging off the rear (minus teh goosenck in the bed (4', 5' ??)

I guess I am the only one that sees this as being over the legal limit for that truck, and highly dangerous?

Uhm

No. You just are the first person who said it directly.

It was a very long, and overloaded load, especially for a nearly 400 mile trip. Got 'er done though.

Drove at a safe speed, and always gave myself plenty of room, and drove in teh late evening to avoid traffic.

If you really want to flip out about being heavy. I have a dark secret about this load. It was strapped and secured properly, but something that should make you very worried that I was driving this down the road...

hint: has to do with brakes, and trailers.

Correct.

The 2005 Dodge did not have a brake controller at the time of this picture.
