marine recruit

hey guys, i plan on attending my grandsons graduation from boot camp the week of the 19th in san diego,
i need some input on where to park my fiver while i attend (the 17th to the 20th) its a 29 ft western rv fifth wheel trailer

go to www.woodalls.com and do a search for campgrounds near to where you are going.

They may have a place on base, here on PI, they park some of them in the main parade deck parking lot. I'll look, if I find something about you being able to park them on base, I'll let you know.

One thing at MCRD San Diego, is the gate. The main gate has some sqirrely turns to get in and out of. Might be tricky for a long trailer.

thanks for the tips guys, i found a space at silver strand state beach .....25.00 dollars a day, it will work out great
it's 12 miles from the gate.
i booked some extra days so i could see some sights

Just went to a graduation there 2 fridays ago to watch a buddies nephew become a new marine OHHRAH KILL. Getting in and out of the gate was a breeze! Shouldnt have a problem w/ the trailer.

The gate on Henderson Avenue should be easier to get through.
I was there almost 30 years ago. Gawd I feel old......

A visit to the USS Midway floating carrier museum is a must! Your grand son will get a kick out of it too. Pricey, but WELL worth the cost. Plan on 2-3 hours to see it all.
