Factory trailer brake connection

I have a 95 2500 4x4. I was told the 4 wire plug under the dash is for a trailer brake connection but i will need to go to the dealer for the male end that goes into it then actually will splice into the new brake setup. Is the dealer the only place? Im pretty sure the hitch and 7 pin flat type connector are factory goodies.

I'm sure that you can find that pig-tail at any place that sells the brake controllers. Most auto supply stores (AutoZone,, AdvanceAuto,,,,, NAPA,,,, PepBoys,, etc) should have them. I have even seen them at the Agri-Supply here in VA. Most hitch shops should carry them also.

Good deal , Ill pick one up. Also wondered on controllers. Our stock trailer has brakes on all 4 wheels, are most rated for 2 or 4 wheel service? I was runnung a drawtite and never could get it right it seemed. Either to much or not enough. hope to find something better.

Either Jordan or Prodigy will handle up to six wheels. Sure do recommend the Jordan - - much smoother than the Prodigy.

BrakeSmart while pricey provides stops as smooth as a baby's bottom. Your cattle will love you for it.
