Quick question on trailer light connection

I pull my travel trailer frequently and know that the trailer light hookup from the trailer plugs into the big round receptacle beside the license plate. I am going to be pulling a flatbed trailer to move to a new house in a couple of weeks and got to thinking about the small rectangle plug that these trailers have for connection.

I have not had an occasion to look for one, but do the 06's have a plug in for these hidden somewhere or what do I need to do to connect this connector to the truck?

Thanks.

ps.
I am not at home to go out and check the truck myself right now, just got to thinking about it.

No hidden plug, you need the adaptor that plugs into the 7 pin round and converts to the 4 pin flat. fairly cheap at any auto parts store

IF you're talking about the 4 pin flat plug that is on most trailers without electric brakes, there was a connector under the truck near the hitch, coming out of the wiring harness going the the 7 way receptacle. At least on my '06 quad cab.

Yeah, that is the flat plug on trailers W/O trailer brakes that I am speaking of. I know that my '03 CTD had a plug hidden behind the bumper for these type trailers, just have never had an occassion to pull anything requiring the flat plug with this '06. I will have to get underneath it tonight when I get home and see if I can find it.

I do know that I had to buy a special plug for my '02 Chev I had which is like the 1st poster above referred to, but like mentioned, I know the '03 CTD had one taped up to the wiring harness that I cut loose to use it when needed.

Thanks alot.

I agree with earleb1 the flat four pin connector was already there on my '06 Just look under the bumper for it.

I got the 4 flat on my 06 Megacab under the bumper, and the 7 pin in the bumper.
