Question 5er & stacks

Does any one pull a 5thwheel with a truck with stacks and if so how much smoke and soot
do you get on the front of your trailer. I like the look of stacks but I see big trucks with trailers with big black spots on them, I don't want that.

I think you wil definitely get a little soot on there with stacks.

It is pretty darn easy to wipe off if you actually wipe it off and don't wait 6 months before doing so.

I don't think most professional truck drivers care if they get their company's trailers dirty and definitely aren't climbing up to clean it off.

Just make your stacks tall enough so the exhaust clears your 5'ver.....

Oh sure........... it'll be sweet... The wife will love it

Just be careful where you go with the rig for a while. Or you may be doing some BOMBing to the Mc Donalds drive through.

if you're ALWAYS hooked to the trailer, a big aluminum wing and 72" stacks might pass muster... MIGHT...

but...

unfortunately lots of guys fail to realize that lots of things look good on big trucks that just look silly on little pick-em-ups...

case in point... this truck looks killer

The truck company I use to work for solved allot of the soot on the sides of the trailer by a simply trick I did to my fleet of trucks..... turning the exhaust elbow inward that way the air stream carried the exhaust over the top of the trailer and not down the sides

That 3rd gen had way too much chrome and the stacks were rediculously large in dia, I seen a very good looking 1st gen in the 1st gen section, red and white.

Heh, I was just thinking that those flaps were the worst part of the truck! (And it has nothing to do with the Pete logo).. white with red, on a black and chrome truck..
