Yes sir! and new pistons. Depends on the tear down.. if the side walls are scored I might re-sleeve it. Although it didn't smoke at all.

Got a little bit of work done Friday night. I was able to peel most of the truck bed liner off. It was older and it looks like someone was trying to use it to stop the rust.

Either way I'll get it right. I have the pan fab up to where it looks like factory. I didn't tac it in yet, I need to rebuild a ton of missing cab parts underneath. I'll have to stop by the steel place and see if I can grab some heavy sheet metal. All the stuff I have is off old furnaces I collect and is just a hair smaller. Stay tuned!

I also have the rebuild kit in for the 4bt so I will need to start that as well. Then I need to figure out the motor mounts. J10mike over at rc has these mounts on his website, thinking I can make something of the same.

People seldom think of the water getting in from underneath on these bed liner material. It's never a water tight seal.

But looking good!

Anyone here know if the transfer case will mate up to a NV4500? I'm going to go stick, makes more sense especially if we're going to do camping where we always go.

Shouldn't be a problem, either you will need a LD 4500 23 spline output model or you will need a 29 spline input on the TC.

Why not just use factory 89-93 6bt 1st gen mounts, will drop into place perfectly.

You could also put the left on the right and vice versa to move the engine ahead about 1.5"

I would say 25-28 should be easy cheesy with OD.
I am driving a 79 w150 narrow bed , with a 4bt no OD 3.54 gears and 285/75 16 tires . MPG is 26 . Good Luck you will love it

Oliver, you have any NV4500 kicking around? Anyone ever use sdtrucksprings.com? I want to keep the stock height and the leafs I have now and worse for wear.
