I know of a few trucks Olee ran this charger on!
Beware you will boost spike over 45lbs! Its only a matter of time with those sticks and regardless of charger before somthing goes. I lasted about 3 months. just be ready, it may be days it may be months but your HG wont last!

So, what causes the pressure to spike that much? The Pro Streets aren't suppose to be bad at surging like the 66's with the smaller exhaust wheel. Would the fact that it has a 71mm exhaust wheel help to keep it from spiking?

yes very much so, but you will still see higher boost numbers than wastegated with that much fuel! The wastegate just cant handle as much fuel as 6's put out. yes that dose help to have a 72 but im running a sps66 not a ps66. There about the same. In all honesty its your truck, i wasnt trying to tell you your idea wouldnt work , and was not trying to upset you, im just saying you wont keep a stock headgasket with mach 6's no matter how you try... look at my setup , i didnt keep one and i ran lvl 3 till i got my rings and still blew it! Im not trying to come off rude, im just saying, it may last 6 months it may last 3 days but chances are you wont keep a headgasket in the truck till you ring it! Regardless of studs or no studs. I looked back at my post and thought it looked rude, its not ment to come out that way, just informative! If thats the setup you want , do it then put a headgasket in, im just telling you what i think!

Added fuel can push more exhaust gas into a turbine housing than the wastegate port can handle. Boost pressure goes higher than the wastegate setting.
I thought all PS turbos had twin ports?? Would not expect overboosting with twin ports.

i thought the same thing when i bought the turbo, but it still overfuels mine set at 40-45 lbs, ive adjusted down and still spool over what the "settings"
Of course its hard to know what its set at! i would say the wastegate will handle alot, but in the same instance i know they come set at 45 i throw close to 50 -55 in a hard run. It could be alltitiude or a number of things, my main point was that if he wanted to run that setup, he was eventually going to be needing headgasket, i think i drew it out to far

No, offence taken, and I appreciate all your help. I understand that you know what your talking about, cause you have been there. I seen a set of Mach 6's for sale for a good price and just threw them in there for a possible setup. My orginal plans were for the same charger and a set of 150hp sticks, but if I can get a set of 6's cheaper than 4's, I'll take it . I might just start collecting the parts till I can get the headwork done. Another question, might sound stupid. When installing a head with the o-rings, what do you use to keep the rings inplace till you get the head set down? Again, I wasn't getting offended, and sorry if I came off that way. I don't exspect my plans to always work and would rather learn from someone else first, instead of ending up stranded on the side of the road with a blow headgasket. Thanks, guy's

I would stick a big set in there just save for the head work first to not make a mess of things! Make sure you get that tranny up first, you will blow that thing in chunks all over some poor guys parkin lot!
As far as the head work, Give Olee Poole a call he dose all my work or some other guys on here can answer the head question, I leave all block and head work to him!

I'd just stud it without removing the head then get the new head if/when your hg blows. I hate to disagree with the knowledgable gentlemen above, but I know someone who ran twins for a couple years without studs or an o ring. Myself, I'm gated at 45 (rides up to 47 sometimes) and haven't touched the head and I haven't had problems over the last year. I always wait until the thermostat opens before I get into it though.

Ph4tty touched on the biggest part of the headgasket in my opinion! If the trucks warm youll have alot less problems and better reliability! if your going with one single charger and expect too "run" the truck, your on shakey ground!

I don't run the truck hard until it's warm anyways, so that shouldn't be a problem. I don't plan on running it hard anyways until I'm confident that it's okay to do so. I just don't wanna do what I did with my Trans Am, and end up getting a part and trading up for something better not soon after that. That's how I ended up with two different exhaust and suspensions systems under the car . Mysterync, how does your charger do for light to moderate towing?
