That's what I had heard also and that it actually helped clean the motor, but when he started rambling on about it I didn't know really what to say. The guy really knows his stuff about motors, but from everything I heard about the water/ meth setup I didn't really believe him!!

What is this meth kit you all are using? link?

also can you feel a power increase from it or does it just cool the intake charge?

would a meth kit work good with a set of twins?

www.coolingmist.com has diesel packages from Snow performance, and yeah they are supposed to give you a nice little boost in power and really help EGT's. They would work great on twins

So far oh so good.
From 0-80 without meth my egts hit a climbing 1600. From 0-80 with meth on (2 625 jets, pump around 200 psi,-20 washerfluid) my max egt was 1380. I took it up to 120 and only seen 1450ish. The first time the meth came on (on at 20 psi full on at 35psi)I did hear the flame being put out with a pop out the exhaust.
The next 10 or so runs everything ran perfect no pop no stumble no problem.
Im trying to get time this week to get it on the rollers to see if theres any power gains. Seat of the pants says maybe a little. The #s off the dyno will tell all.

Lance D - http://snowperformance.net/ Washer fluid will give some HP increase. Mixing your own with racing Methanol will do better. Depending on your set up....have heard of 40-60 hp on a dyno.

Mooseman - On a WOT run, try backing off a little for about 1 sec as you hit 1200*-1300* EGT's. Than hit it again.
I find I get a big drop...200*+ and it stays lower when I get back on throttle. Some have reported this does not work for them??

Sound like it's working well and your having fun.

That was my experience with the stage 2 controller, though I use the system for towing, not racing. For some reason the stage 3 controller doesn't require backing off to get maximum cooling. Temps just don't go above 1250*, no backing off, then back on, required. The controller brings the pump in at a much lower and smoother rate. Works off egts and boost.

The stage 3 controller, with its in-cab adjustability, is worlds better than the stage 2. I'm amazed at it's performance.

I think you guys are using way to much if your actually stopping combustion.
I typed a big responce then remebered that my egts are low cause of the intercoolers.(3)......so never mind, I run it, like it, but I don t even have to, even when pulling. I can feel the difference with 50/50 meth and water though when running empty.

Finally had time to hit some canyon hills today. With 50/50 mix, 2 625 nozzles, pump at 200 psi set to come in at 18psi and full at 35. If I ease into it and try to hold 25 psi boost I get horriable quenching. If I hammer down and let it go wild I get no quench and it roars up the hills without breaking 1350.So it seems I have found the racing set up but need to tone things down some for towing. What would be best to do? Turn the pump down or change out a 625 nozzle for a 375?

Turn the pump down. I ran into the same issue. At full fuel it would stay lit, but at high RPM and a moderate load there was just too much water coming through. It was really bad with the WH1C/12, because it would make 25 psi at 2000 RPM with hardly any load. Going to the H1C/E/14 hybrid let me turn it back up a little.

Agreed! Turn down the pump.
If you turn up the "start" level...I think you will find you accelerate to quickly to take advantage of the injection system through out a long climb.

Finally dynoed tonight. On -20 washer fluid I picked up 58 horse and droped 325 off the pyro.
Well worth the $$ IMO.

Those are really good results from -20 washer fluid. Most only get an average of 40hp and 180*F to 200*F EGT drop. It is really working well for you.
