unless the 40 is modified it will be a little laggy, the 60 is a little smaller than my B/B but the combo would work very well.

I'm a little bias here as I like the modified turbo's!

Man Jim you sure do got a nice setup in your truck. the HX40 is a little modded. It is an HX35 core with HX40 fins and housings, which basically means it is a 40. i did that simply to get the 4 in. hot pipe. A buddy of mine ran this setup on his truck and he had trouble blowing the boot connecting the cold pipe to the top charger. he was running a 3" cold pipe, then a 3"-4" rubber boot. any ideas why this was a problem for him?????????? the HX60 is brand new, he took them off cause he kept getting mad with the boots blowing. but i did see him do a 4th gear take-off on a six speed and burn the tires off of it, right before he took them off.

I've seen pics of people using that 3-4 boot and I don't like it, main reason is there sorry boots.

I don't know if there is much of an advantage between using 3, 3.5 or 4" on the cold pipe, I just like the look of the 4. Were it comes out of the B/B it's a 3.5 formed to a 4" but on my old setup I used a 3.5 to 4 swedge and it worked well. That Modified 35/40 with a 60 should do all you will ever want to do!

thanks Jim i think what i am going to do is weld a piece of a 3"-4" exhaust reducer but cut it real short and fit it into my system. i was suprised at the squeeze it it with the bigger charger. I thought there would be plenty of room but when you go to squeezing stuff in there it gets real tight!!!!!!!!!!! i also have the wastgated ATS special manifold with the extreme wastegate turned upside down and that doesn't help on th extra room in there, but i am fitting stuff in pretty well!!!! coming together pretty good too. just need to weld a hot pipe together!!! i have spent the past two years looking at pics of twins and it really help to just look at other sets. MANY Thanks to those who post pics of their twins and the process they go through!!!

well 1ST GEN, where the housings bolt up is a different bolt pattern. the HT3B that i have is much larger of a flange on the exhaust housing but on the HX60 it is much smaller and so a new plate would need to be made to fit the smaller flange and smaller bolt pattern but i wouldn't think it would be much trouble!!

thanks for the reply
