Turn key... Click!

Every so often i will go to turn my truck on and i just get a click, just like the battery is dead, i'll try again and it will start. Any suggestions? It might be the batteries but it starts eventually... i'm stumped.

Thanks Guys, Tristan

P.S. I plan on changing out the batteries anyway. Anyone know where to get Optima yellow tops at a good price?

Yeah, your starter points are probably corroded. Its a simple fix. Nothing big to worry about.

It will be best to get the starter contacts for $35 and fix it soon. I waited and the contacted welded closed and toasted the starter and nearly caused a fire. $200 for the starter $80 for tools and 2 five mile walks. Replaced the starter in sleet and rain on my back on the ground. Do it now. Might as well do the batteries too. I think my bad starter also killed my new batteries. Got them replaced on warrantee.
