Turbo blanket

Anyone on here has one? I've never seen anyone post a pic with one on their turbo. Is there reason that nobody is running one?

I'm still debating. I did some research and from what I read was it was a bad idea. Supposedly it holds the heat in after you shut the engine down causing the oil to cake in the center housing. Whether thats true or not I don't know but it sounds logical.

i have one made for a s300 that doesn't fit very well on my turbo purely due to my wastegate setup . . .

i have it on loosely right now, but i don't think it doing me much good . . .

Save the turbo blankets for the racing guys-- the reliability risk isn't worth the "performance" on the street.
