TST vs Comp

if i swap my comp for a TST and lose the timing...will i see a power loss.

my plan is to then save for a smarty

will a smarty/TST stack be safe on stock headgasket

Both the Comp and the TST are rated for 120hp... they just get there differently.

Who knows about the headgasket... my brother sled pulled all last year with a Hot TST, Mach 6+ and SP66 on the stock gasket(no studs or orings) and it was fine.. made several 500+ dyno runs and it was fine... just popped on sunday while passing a car on the highway...

Dont see where it would be any harder on it the then the comp. You might see a rise in egt's when running just the TST becouse of the lack of timing.

Yeah with just a TST you will lose your timing but if you can get a smarty with it, it should be a pretty nice set up. But you get both with the Comp. So it's more cost effective. But the TST Smarty combo might be a little better.

As far as your headgasket goes it should be fine as long as you keep your boost under 45, maybe a little more but thats iffy. Just my 2ct
