Which Southbend Clutch??

Ok Im wanting to order a new clutch asap but cant decide which one to go with? All i know is im getting a DD. Should I get the 3250 (550hp may require hydralic upgrde), 3600 (650hp may require hydralic upgrade), 3850 (750hp will require hydralic upgrade). Which one would work best for me? I drive the truck everyday, dont haul alot, drag race a little. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

Kevin

I dont plan on doing just a whole lot more. Headwork and a small shot of nitrous at most.

If i went with the 3250 will I have to do the hydralic upgrade? What about the 3600?

no hydraulics on the 3250. you might just try and call southbend they told me the big difference in price between the 3600 and up clutch and the 3250 was because of the flywheel. the flywheel in the 3250 is ductile iron and not ira? sanctioned for sled pulling.

I have done 1. the 3250 is supposed to be good for launching the 3600 for light sled pulling, and the 3850 is a sled puller. just give southbend a call tomorrow they are really helpfull in deciding which clutch you need. my 3250 was really jerky for about 500mi but after a few good rips on it it loosened up.

i have the 3600 and i love it did not require HYD upgrade. the best thing for u to do is talk to peter at SB and tell him wut u want to do with truck and he will steer u in the right direction.

I have the 3250 DD & my brother has a 3600 DD. I have pulled sleds [check my sig], heavy hauling for a year & it daily drives like a dream. His 3600 will bounce a drink out of the console if you are trying to back up a trailer. Very jumpy no matter how you feather it. It will give your leg a workout in traffic also, very hard pedal. I had a twisted input shaft last week & ADT put a new 1 3/8" input in. When Doug removed my 3250 clutch, it looked like it was hardly used. It wasn't discolored or anything. The discs were like new also. Get the 3250, you will love it.
