Some Advice Pls

Hi I have a 2002 dodge with 150hp sticks the edge with juice and a south bend clutch i think its the organic. Heres my problem sometimes when I floor it the truck seems to chug and lerch. This normally only happens in 6th gear and the rmps never really seem to change, but as I apply more throttle the symptoms become worse. Now this kinda happens intermittently and iv only had it happen in 6th can anyone tell me what my problem could be.

I think most have this problem when you have extra HP and Torque involved and you hit the gas without downshifting. Either the tires or the tranny will give. If the tires give then you spin the tires, if the tranny gives you spin the converter. Just my guess....

Sounds like whats going on with my Boss's 01 24V ETH. I bet if you hooked a good load to it it would just about throw you out of the seat!

Few things for you to check are fuel pressure, fuel filter, and see if there are any codes first.
In my case with his tuck, all 3 of those check out fine. Only other thing I can think of is there are some weird things going on in the VP44 electronics.?
We reciently replaced and reset the APPS. The VP44 is fairly new, however he did fun it low on fuel pressure for a few days. No fuel press gauge!

You should also try to unhook your Edge and see if that solves the problem.

What's the engine RPM when this happens?

Mine would surge sometimes during a pedal stomp. It quit surging after soldering the Comp wire to the pump wire.

I think he wants to know at what engine speed it is doing it, not whether it increases or not. Overfuelling it at low engine speeds would make it do this.
